“Spring has sprung” in the classrooms. Because of the seasonal changes, there are many opportunities for learning in science, math, language arts, reading, art and cooking activities.
The earth warms, causing new plant growth to spring forth, giving the season its name. It is exciting to take a nature walk in the fresh air and record the children’s observations. Digging up dirt in the school garden to plant lettuce and flowers is a popular project. The children see seeds sprouting up. They learn about the four components (soil, sun, water, seed) necessary for plant growth.
There could be a robin sighting or maybe a frog croaking. It’s time to shed those warm layers of clothing and enjoy spring.
Playrific wishes you all a Happy Spring!
